Did you know that AAENP offers a portal of educational topics with free CE for members? Led by AAENP’s Education Co-Chairs Ashton Glover, DNP, FNP-C, ENP-C, SANE-A & Amanda Hitt, DNP, ENP-C, FNP-C, members will continue to find updated content in both webinar and on-demand formats. Both Ashton and Amanda practice in rural emergency departments and teach at the University of North Alabama. Ashton is also a certified sexual assault nurse examiner. Both enjoy spending time with family and caring for their animals – although Amanda is partial to her chickens! AAENP members can anticipate diverse and ongoing educational opportunities in the year ahead!

Member Highlight: Julie Moize- South Carolina State Representative
|

|
|
|
Julie Moize is a dual board-certified family and emergency nurse practitioner. She began her nursing career in 2001 after graduating from Piedmont Technical College in Greenwood, SC. She went on to obtain her ADN in 2003. She worked at Augusta University in the Pediatric emergency room for 4 years before moving to North Carolina, where she worked in both the adult and pediatric emergency rooms. While there, she was promoted to trauma program manager, where she built a level III trauma center for the community hospital there. She was able to complete an initial designation and redesignation in 7 years. She also obtained her BSN from Methodist University in 2017. After moving back to South Carolina, she began working on her MSN in nursing admin, which she completed in 2020, and in 2021 started a post-master certificate at Vanderbilt University for dual FNP/ENP certification. Julie is certified through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners for both certifications. She will begin working on her Doctorate of Nursing at Vanderbilt University in August 2023. Julie has a passion for caring for sick and injured patients. She aims to educate nursing staff and the public on preventing injury and early treatment. She is certified as a Stop the Bleed instructor and teaches trauma courses to hospital and EMS staff.
