2024 Thought Leaders Report to be Published in August
APPA is nearing the completion of its 2024 Thought Leaders Report after compiling, organizing, and analyzing information gathered from the symposium attendees and subject matter experts. The annual Thought Leaders Symposium convenes executives from various educational areas and senior facilities officers from educational institutions to tackle a significant issue or challenge.
The topic of discussion for 2024’s Thought Leaders symposium, held in Alexandria, VA, from February 26–28, 2024, was The Campus of 2030. Approximately 30 leaders in educational institutions and facilities management attended and examined a variety of topics—such as new technologies like AI—as well as other factors like staffing, adapting to change, the outlook of enrollment in higher education, leadership, and streamlining processes to help facilities personnel prepare themselves and their institutions for the future.
In the months following the symposium, video interviews from participants were posted on APPA’s newsfeed and published in the Inside APPA newsletter to provide input on the final report. Links from all 2024 Thought Leaders previews can be found on the APPA Thought Leaders Series page.
Launched in 2006, APPA’s Thought Leaders Series facilitates dedicated discussions on various subjects impacting educational facilities. Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, Johnson Controls and Siemens, the Thought Leaders reports are free to APPA members and can be downloaded from the APPA Bookstore.
