CPR-AED AWARENESS WEEK

This is National CPR-AED Awareness Week, highlighting the importance of getting training in CPR and how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED).

IBPSA is providing a blended course in Human/Infant CPR, AED and First Aid training at this year’s FLOW Conference being held in Tucson, Arizona September 24-26 at the Westin La Paloma. This course is open to all FLOW Conference attendees, as well as the general public located in the Tucson area.

The course focuses on teaching participants how to recognize and handle medical emergencies in the critical first few minutes until emergency medical services personnel arrive.

This Blended Learning Class has two components:

  1. Each student will go online and complete the Video Modules at their own pace before Conference. Access to the online module will be provided on or about August 19th

  2. Each student will then sign up for a time slot during conference in Tucson to demonstrate their knowledge of how to perform Compression-only CPR on a mannequin with a Trained Instructor observing.
Upon successful completion of both parts, students are issued digital course cards that provide certification for 2 years.

Once you sign up for the course you will be sent a list of available times for you to do the Compressions at Conference. If you do not complete the course, video or compressions, you will have to take it again.

Cost of Class: $55 per person (this includes course materials and fee). You can register for this class and/or Conference at petcareconference.com.

Please note that there are NO REFUNDS for this class as credits are immediately purchased from the Health and Safety Institute, the Certifying Agency.

For any additional questions relating to the course, please contact Ben Day at ben@ibpsa.com.
