As we move through 2023, we are thrilled to share with you the many successes of the Wisconsin Society of Association Executives (WSAE) to date. Over the past year, our organization has accomplished a great deal, and we are proud to have continued to provide valuable resources and support to our members.

Online Registration Closes Today - Last Call for WSAE LIVE@The Osthoff

With the famed Road America auto racing venue nearby, WSAE’s LIVE @ The Osthoff event is themed “Take Your Association from Zero to 60.” Programming will feature diverse topics association executives are buzzing about, from addressing staffing challenges, to cybersecurity realities, to unleashing the power of events. Add in some creative networking opportunities, and this is sure to be one event not to miss!

Four Takeaways from the Omnipress 2023 Conference Industry Report

In their 2023 Conference Industry Report, WSAE member Omnipress explores challenges and opportunities facing organizations at a time when attendee preferences have diversified, the workplace has changed and a new generation of attendees starts to enter the workforce.

 

This 9th annual report tracking changes in the conference industry features data collected from a survey of over 200 event professionals and executives on the current and future state of conferences and event content. Here’s a quick summary of top takeaways from this year’s data:

  • “It depends” is the new storyline for events
  • When (or whether) conference attendance and revenue will fully recover yet to be determined, but meeting planners are optimistic
  • Young professionals are important to the future success of events, but there’s still work to do to attract and retain them
